Chelsea are ready to sell Romelu Lukaku and hope that there will be demand for him after the 2022 World Cup.

According to journalist Nizaar Kinsella for the Evening Standard, the striker is unlikely to return to Chelsea after a loan spell at Inter. The London club understands that they will not recoup the 115 million euros spent on Lukaku in the summer of 2021, but they want to part with the striker and are looking for buyers for him.

Now Lukaku is injured again - he has muscles in the hamstrings since the beginning of the season. Despite this, the striker expects to be ready to play at the 2022 World Cup as part of the Belgian national team.

Chelsea are counting on Lukaku to perform well in the upcoming tournament. The club hopes that Romelu`s strong performance at the 2022 World Cup will increase his value.

The striker returned to Inter last summer on loan for 8 million euros. The clubs analyzed by soccer news have agreed verbally that the Nerazzurri will be able to loan Lukaka next season on the same terms. However, Chelsea are aiming to find a buyer for the player.

Lukaku does not want to return to Chelsea. Graham Potter has not yet shared his opinion about the striker`s future with the club`s management. Regardless, Lukaku`s return to Stamford Bridge looks unlikely.

The statistics of the 29-year-old striker can be studied.
