Evgeny Lovchev spoke about the current limit on foreign players in the World RPL. - Foreigners should give some impetus to the development of football in our country. But, unfortunately, no matter who I listen to from the people who left the football field, they say that the level of football is falling. And I agree with this by and large.
There are certain examples. We quite often look back at the English, who are the founders of football, and consider the English Premier League to be one of the best in the world. They did not allow all foreigners to visit them. There I definitely had to play for the national team for some time. For one team you had to play a certain number of matches, for another - a different number. Somehow determine the level of a football player. But by and large, we can just think about how to make sure that we have more strong and young players. How? I can`t say, honestly.
- Are you in favor of limiting the number of foreign players?
- We need to find football players, educate them, give them opportunities, build fields for them. I think that we need to convene a football council so that everyone can speak out on this matter: whether foreign players are needed or not. Of course, clubs mentioned by soccerwinpredictions that spend money, many of them state-owned, will say: Yes, and others that don`t spend this money will say: No, we need to mind our football. It`s hard for me to say, I can`t answer this question, " said the former USSR national team player.
